In-state tuition and fees rose 2.5 percent for 2018-19 at Middlesex Community College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Connecticut residents paid $4,384 to attend the two-year public institution this year – $108 more than the $4,276 charged for 2017-18.

Non-resident students would have paid 200 percent more than residents this year, or $13,152. Non-resident tuition and fees grew 2.5 percent from $12,828 in 2017-18.

100 percent of the school’s undergraduate population are Connecticut residents.

Data shows 62 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 211 students received grants or scholarships totaling $894,391 and 18 students took out student loans totaling more than $74,236.

Including all undergraduates (2,547), 1,250 students used grants or scholarships totaling $4.5 million, and 109 students took out $460,375 in federal student loans.
