Fairfield Stags fall to Elon Phoenix in NCAA Division I baseball with Hunter Hoxie on mound

The Fairfield Stags, featuring former Jonathan Law High School standout Hunter Hoxie, were defeated 3-0 by the Elon Phoenix in NCAA Division I baseball action at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28.

Walter C. Latham Park was the site of their second meeting with the Phoenix this season. The previous game, on Friday, Feb. 27, resulted in a 3-2 loss for the Stags.

Hoxie gave up three earned runs over 4.2 innings, with six walks and four strikeouts.

The Stags are set to face the Elon Phoenix again on Sunday, March 1, at 1 p.m. at Walter C. Latham Park.
