Sophomore Jack Dauer of the Yale baseball team was named Ivy League Player of the Week, according to a March 9 announcement from the conference.
The recognition highlights Dauer’s performance during a three-game series against George Washington, where he contributed significantly to his team’s success.
Dauer, an infielder, recorded four hits in eleven at-bats, including two extra-base hits. He scored five runs and drove in eight runs over the series. His grand slam on Sunday helped secure a series victory for Yale.
The Bulldogs are scheduled to host Sacred Heart on Tuesday, March 10, at 3 p.m.
Other recent Ivy League weekly awards for Yale players include Garrett Larsen as Player of the Week on Feb. 23 and Bryce Miller as Rookie of the Week on March 2.
The team’s continued recognition in conference awards reflects strong individual performances early in the season.
