Former Choate Rosemary Hall School standout Jordan Obi and the Kentucky Wildcats were defeated by the Texas Longhorns, 76-54, in their NCAA Tournament matchup on Saturday, March 28.
The contest was held at Dickies Arena with tipoff at 2:15 p.m.
Sophia Fujita has been named MAAC Player of the Year for a second year in a row while John O’Connor receives Coach of the Year honors again. Both awards come as Quinnipiac Women’s Golf heads into another NCAA Tournament appearance.
Three Yale men’s golf players have been honored by the Ivy League for their performances this season. Will Lodge earned First Team All-Ivy recognition, Matthew Lin made Second Team All-Ivy, and Sam Davis received Academic All-Ivy honors.
Quinnipiac women’s golf has been selected as an #11 seed for the Ann Arbor Regional of the NCAA Tournament after winning its conference championship. The team will compete at Michigan from May 11-13 with hopes to advance further.
