Albertus Magnus College ranked 19th for coaching salaries among Connecticut’s post-secondary institutions in 2024, according to the U.S. Department of Education.

Data indicates that Albertus Magnus College paid its coaches an average salary of $27,682, with the highest individual coaching salary at $35,223.

The University of Connecticut led the state by offering the highest average coaching salary in 2024, amounting to $777,744.

Connecticut’s post-secondary coaches earned an average salary of $121,571 in 2024, marking a 10.6% increase from the previous year’s average of $109,895.

A Knight Commission report projects that within a decade, some Power 5 football coaches will earn more than their schools spend on scholarships and medical care for all athletes. The study estimates more than $1 billion in new annual revenue from the expanded College Football Playoff and media rights deals. By 2032, nearly half of public Power 5 schools could reach this ‘crossover point.’
