The Quinnipiac men’s tennis team earned its first Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) victory of the season by defeating Siena 6-1 on Sunday afternoon, March 29.

This win marks an important milestone for the Bobcats as they look to build momentum in conference play. Securing their initial MAAC triumph could help set the tone for upcoming matches.

Quinnipiac took control early by winning the doubles point, with Carlos Braun Simo and Alessandro Sciacca teaming up for a victory, while Elias Hoxha and Finn Burridge also secured a win in their match. In singles play, Braun Simo, Hoxha, Sciacca, Vishal Prakash, and Csanad Nyaradi all notched wins for Quinnipiac. The only singles loss came when Finn Burridge was defeated by Loch Varella from Siena.

Statistically, Braun Simo and Sciacca’s doubles partnership recorded their fifth win of the season. Hoxha and Burridge also achieved their fifth doubles victory together. In singles competition, Braun Simo picked up his sixth win this year; Hoxha earned his fifth and remains undefeated against MAAC opponents; Prakash claimed his second; Sciacca tallied his fourth; and Nyaradi registered his second singles win of the season.
