The Quinnipiac men’s tennis team will travel for two matches against NJIT and conference opponent Siena, with games scheduled for March 27 at the Naimoli Family Athletic and Recreational Facility in Newark, New Jersey, and March 29 at Tri-City Fitness in Latham, New York.

These matches come after the Bobcats experienced their first Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) loss since April 16, 2024. The team was narrowly defeated by Sacred Heart with a score of 4-3. Despite this setback, Quinnipiac’s doubles teams—Carlos Braun Simo paired with Alessandro Sciacca and Elias Hoxha paired with Finn Burridge—have each achieved four wins so far this season.

Individually, Finn Burridge was named Co-Player of the Week on March 4 following a weekend where he went undefeated against Binghamton and Bryant. Carlos Braun Simo currently leads the Bobcats in singles victories with five wins. Elias Hoxha has also performed strongly, securing four singles wins this season while maintaining an unbeaten record against MAAC opponents after his performance versus Sacred Heart. Additionally, Alessandro Sciacca and Carl Sjolholm have each contributed three singles victories.

At the ITA Regional Championships earlier this season, the pairs of Carlos Braun Simo/Elias Hoxha and Finn Burridge/Alessandro Sciacca both advanced to the round of 64 in doubles competition. In singles play at that event, Carlos Braun Simo won his main draw consolation match against Ethan Chung from Yale.

Last season saw Quinnipiac claim its second consecutive MAAC championship by defeating Rider 4-1 in the final after overcoming Niagara by the same margin in the semifinals. Elias Hoxha was recognized as Most Outstanding Performer for clinching victory over Rider. The team returned to its second straight NCAA Tournament appearance but fell to No. 23 Clemson.

Returning All-MAAC selections include Elias Hoxha—who holds a perfect career record of ten wins without a loss against MAAC opponents—as well as Carlos Braun Simo and Finn Burridge.
