The Quinnipiac women’s lacrosse team is set to face Merrimack on Saturday, April 4, as the Bobcats aim to extend their winning streak to three games. The match will take place in North Andover, Massachusetts, with a scheduled start at noon.

This matchup marks the conclusion of a two-game road series for Quinnipiac, which began with an 18-5 victory over Iona earlier in the week. The Bobcats currently hold a record of 7-5 overall and are 2-2 in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play.

Quinnipiac previously defeated Merrimack in their first-ever meeting last year by an 18-6 score. In that game, Cate Bendowski and Mia Delmond combined for eleven points while Emma Miller-Ayala contributed both defensively and offensively. The team has also celebrated recent successes including a win over Manhattan on Senior Saturday where Miller-Ayala scored five goals.

First-year attacker Brie Provenzano was recognized as MAAC Rookie of the Week after accumulating seven points across two games against Gardner-Webb and Furman. She leads all first-year players in the conference with an average of 1.50 assists per game and ranks eighth nationally among her peers.

The Bobcats have shown depth throughout their roster, using eleven different goal scorers during a win over Central Connecticut State University (CCSU). Key returning players this season include Shannon Alden—last year’s MAAC Goalie and Rookie of the Year—as well as All-Rookie selections Miller-Ayala and Anna Givens. Seniors Delmond and Bendowski lead an experienced offensive group returning six of its top eight scorers from last season.

Looking ahead, Quinnipiac’s schedule features several strong non-conference opponents before league play resumes later this month.
