The Quinnipiac women’s ice hockey team secured a 3-0 victory over No. 8 Cornell on Friday night at Lynah Rink in Ithaca, New York. The Bobcats, ranked ninth nationally, scored all three goals in the second period after a scoreless first.
Jade Barbirati opened the scoring with her third goal of the season. Makayla Watson followed with her second goal of the year, extending her point streak to three games. Emerson Jarvis capped off the period with her seventh goal of the season, bringing her career total to 22.
Assists were credited to Aynsley D’Ottavio, Bryn Prier, and Laurence Frenette. Frenette now leads the team with 14 assists.
Sophomore goaltender Felicia Frank recorded a career-high 34 saves in her 19th appearance this season, earning her sixth shutout and 14th win of the year. This marks Frank’s second pair of back-to-back shutouts this season.
The Bobcats improved their ECAC record to 5-3-1 following this win.
