Quinnipiac women’s tennis secures eighth straight win over Mount St. Mary’s

The Quinnipiac women’s tennis team earned its eighth consecutive victory and fifth in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference after defeating Mount St. Mary’s 5-2 on April 11.

This win highlights the team’s strong performance this season, as they continue to build momentum in conference play and improve their overall record.

In doubles, the pairs of Willow Renton and Caitlin Flower, along with Isabella Sicignano and Vera Sekerina, secured victories to claim the doubles point for Quinnipiac. In singles competition, Renton, Flower, Sekerina, and Isabella Baker all recorded wins. Baker has now achieved a seven-match winning streak in singles play while Renton has won six straight.

With this result, the Bobcats improved their overall record to 13-6 and remain undefeated at 5-0 in MAAC matches. The team has also extended its MAAC match winning streak to 13 matches dating back to last season.

Additional statistics show that Renton and Flower have now won their eleventh doubles match of the season. Sicignano and Sekerina picked up their third doubles win together this year. Both Renton and Baker notched their eleventh singles victories of the season with these latest results.

As Quinnipiac continues its strong run through conference play, players like Baker and Renton are contributing consistent performances that have helped sustain the team’s current success.
