Quinnipiac women’s tennis will host Marist on April 3 at the QU Tennis Courts in Hamden, Conn., after the match was rescheduled from Wednesday due to cold weather. The contest is set to begin at noon.

The matchup continues Quinnipiac’s Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) play, with the Bobcats holding a perfect 19-0 record against Marist since the 2008-09 season. Marist enters the weekend undefeated in conference play with recent wins over Niagara and Sacred Heart. In their last outing, Lola Ungerman and Cloe Clements Sorde secured a doubles victory for Marist and each posted two singles wins.

Quinnipiac comes into this match following its fifth consecutive win, having swept Siena 7-0. Doubles pair Willow Renton and Caitlin Flower achieved their ninth win of the season, while Caroline Schulson and Isabella Sicignano recorded their fourth. Singles victories included Renton, Isabella Baker, Anagha Shankar, Schulson—each notching their eighth of the year—and Emily Meng picking up her fourth. Flower also surpassed 100 career wins after a strong performance on March 21.

Recently, Renton claimed both singles and doubles titles at the MAAC Masters tournament alongside partner Flower; they advanced to compete in the ITA Conference Masters Championships in San Diego. For this season, sophomore Renton and junior Schulson serve as team captains.

Looking back at last season (2024-25), Quinnipiac finished with a 12-9 overall record and an undefeated MAAC run (8-0). The Bobcats won their eighth conference title by defeating Fairfield 4-3. Renton received multiple honors including MAAC Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year, and Most Outstanding Player for the tournament. Five players earned All-MAAC recognition across singles and doubles categories.

Under Head Coach Paula Miller’s leadership since joining MAAC in 2013-14, Quinnipiac has won eight championships/advanced to seven NCAA Tournaments while sharing or winning ten straight regular-season titles. Miller has been named MAAC Coach of the Year eight times.
