Rosa DeLauro, U.S. Congresswoman representing Connecticut’s 3rd district since 1991, has recently addressed several issues affecting Connecticut residents through a series of posts on her social media account.
On December 16, 2025, DeLauro informed the public about the restoration of Access Health CT’s website after previous outages. She wrote, “After website outages, @AccessHealthCT has fully restored its website and is now available for eligible Connecticut residents to enroll in coverage. Customers can call the call center to enroll by December 20, 2025 for coverage starting January 1, 2026.”
Later that day, she commented on current economic concerns with a critical statement: “They’re inflating their grades just like they’re inflating the economy.” This remark was posted on December 16, 2025.
The following day, DeLauro addressed healthcare policy debates in Congress. On December 17, 2025, she stated: “Republicans must back this bipartisan bill and prevent your premiums from skyrocketing.”
DeLauro has represented Connecticut’s 3rd District since replacing Bruce Morrison in 1991 and is known for her advocacy on healthcare issues. Born in New Haven in 1943 and an alumna of Marymount College in Tarrytown (BA ’64), she remains an active figure both locally and nationally.
