Rosa DeLauro, a long-serving member of the U.S. Congress representing Connecticut’s 3rd district, has recently shared her views on various pressing issues through social media posts. Her statements address concerns about research funding, international support for Ukraine, and gender equality.

On March 7, 2025, DeLauro expressed concern over potential negative impacts on cancer patients due to what she described as the “Republican research robbery.” She highlighted that “restrictions on research activities and downsizing the federal workforce will be deadly.”

Later that day, DeLauro reaffirmed New Haven’s support for Ukraine amidst recent national controversies. She stated that “New Haven still supports our Ukrainian friends and family,” describing recent events as “among the most shameful in our nation’s history.” She emphasized that every supporter of liberty should stand with Ukraine.

On March 8, 2025, coinciding with International Women’s Day, DeLauro paid tribute to women who have paved the way for future generations. She called for continued commitment to gender equality and justice by stating: “We must remain committed to fighting for gender equality, justice, and the opportunities every woman deserves.”
