Rosa DeLauro, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Connecticut’s 3rd district since 1991, addressed recent events and issues in a series of posts on her social media account.

On April 13, 2026, DeLauro commemorated Yom HaShoah with a message reflecting on the Holocaust. She stated, “On Yom HaShoah we honor the memories of the six million innocent lives who were brutally murdered during the Holocaust. Antisemitism and hatred must be defeated.”

The following day, April 14, she commented on economic concerns related to international conflict and energy prices. In her post, DeLauro wrote, “President Trump admits himself that gas prices will be higher – all because of the war he started with Iran. Most Americans are living paycheck to paycheck. They cannot handle a price increase at the gas pump. We must end the war in Iran and focus on bringing down costs.”

Later that same day, DeLauro shared two links without additional commentary: “https://t.co/VU72zuUDIx https://t.co/r9LwhMiaG1”.

DeLauro was born in New Haven, Connecticut in 1943 and continues to reside there. She graduated from Marymount College in Tarrytown with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1964.
