Rosa DeLauro, U.S. Congresswoman representing Connecticut’s 3rd district since 1991, posted a series of statements on her Twitter account addressing topics ranging from political controversy to healthcare legislation.
On February 11, 2026, DeLauro commented on recent developments involving Pam Bondi and former President Donald Trump. She wrote, “Pam Bondi can’t give straight answers because those answers would show the truth. Trump is all over the Epstein files and she is panicking trying to cover it up.”
Later that evening, DeLauro shifted focus to breast cancer detection efforts in the United States. In a tweet posted at 22:16 UTC, she stated, “We know that early detection is crucial in the fight against breast cancer—but for many women, mammograms fail to detect tumors. That’s why I introduced the Find It Early Act, which would require insurance to cover additional breast cancer screenings at no cost to patients.”
Continuing her advocacy for legislative solutions, DeLauro followed up with another post on February 12: “I have a bill for that! Call me, I’ll get you signed on. -R https://t.co/R2i1xVgQhz”
DeLauro has represented Connecticut’s 3rd District in Congress since replacing Bruce Morrison in 1991 and has been an advocate for public health initiatives throughout her tenure. Born in New Haven in 1943 and a graduate of Marymount College (Tarrytown), she continues to reside in her hometown while serving as an active legislator.
