Rosa DeLauro, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Connecticut’s 3rd district since 1991, addressed several issues in a series of posts on September 24, 2025.
In her first post, DeLauro referenced ongoing debates about the safety of pain relievers during pregnancy. She stated on September 24, “Scientists and doctors agree that Tylenol is one of few safe pain relievers available to women during their pregnancy. President Trump & RFK Jr’s baseless claims should not be taken seriously.”
Later that day, she issued a reminder to Boar’s Head via social media: “.@Boars_Head Reminder, you have until Friday to respond “ (September 24).
DeLauro also commented on freedom of expression and government accountability. On September 24, she wrote: “Protecting the First Amendment isn’t a partisan issue– it’s an American issue. Defending free expression must unite us. Attempts by the Trump Administration to silence or punish those who speak out against the administration undermine the foundation of our country.”
DeLauro has been an active member of Congress for over three decades and succeeded Bruce Morrison in her current role. Born in New Haven, Connecticut in 1943 and currently residing there at age 80, she graduated from Marymount College, Tarrytown with a BA in 1964.
