Rosa DeLauro, a long-serving member of the U.S. Congress representing Connecticut’s 3rd district since 1991, has recently shared her thoughts on several pressing issues through a series of tweets. DeLauro, who succeeded Bruce Morrison in Congress and holds a BA from Marymount College, Tarrytown, has been vocal about matters concerning national security and local tragedies.

On March 26, 2025, DeLauro expressed her condolences regarding the collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore, Maryland. In her tweet, she stated: “Today we remember the tragic collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore Maryland, where 6 hardworking Americans lost their lives. I am keeping their families and the Baltimore community in my prayers today, as they continue to rebuild.”

Later that day, at 20:40 UTC, DeLauro criticized comments made by an unnamed Secretary of Defense regarding military plans. She tweeted: “Attack plans” and “war plans” are very different according to @SecDef, because apparently, it doesn’t matter if anyone in the world finds out about attack plans. Whenever our troops are going into harm’s way, info security matters. Resign.”

In another post at 22:07 UTC on the same day, DeLauro called for an investigation into Tulsi Gabbard’s actions related to classified information. She remarked: “Tulsi Gabbard clearly lied by stating there was no classified information shared in this chat. She should be investigated and fired before her carelessness and cluelessness get people killed.”
