Sacred Heart swimmers compete at CSCAA National Open Water Championships

The Sacred Heart women’s swimming and diving team participated in the CSCAA National Open Water Championships in Sarasota, Florida. The team was led by Sophia Velleco, who finished 28th out of 119 competitors with a time of 1:00:33.1.

Laura DeGennaro completed the race in 1:03:30.4, earning her 73rd place. Charlotte Kaduson finished close behind at 1:03:34.7 for 75th place. Maeve English posted a time of 1:04:52.3, placing her 92nd overall.

Daniella Palamaro recorded a time of 1:05:02.2 to secure the 97th spot, while Izzy Torello rounded out the group with a finish of 1:05:52.0, placing her at 110th overall.

The team is scheduled to compete next at CCSU on January 16 at 5 p.m.
