Sacred Heart women’s diving team excels at ECAC Winter Championships

The Sacred Heart University women’s diving team achieved a strong showing at the ECAC Winter Championships in East Longmeadow, New York. Ryleigh Mahoney was named Diver of the Meet after winning the 1-meter event with a score of 283.35 and securing first place in both the preliminaries (278.20) and finals (264.60) of the 3-meter event.

Head Coach Adam Vance received recognition as Coach of the Meet for his leadership during the competition.

Other notable performances included Sinclair Yadao, who finished second in both the 1-meter and 3-meter prelims, and third in the 3-meter finals. Phifey Boyers placed third in the 1-meter, fifth in the 3-meter prelims, and second in the 3-meter finals. Kara Leahy contributed by finishing fourth in the 3-meter prelims and seventh in the finals.

The Pioneers’ divers are scheduled to compete next at the CSCAA Open Water National Championships on December 13 in Sarasota, Florida.
