Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce recently issued the following announcement.
It's time to register for the Arts Center Killingworth's July Fashion and Nature Art Camps.
Fashion Week One returns July 13-17 (9am-5:30pm) for ages 11-15. Spend mornings learning to fashion illustrate, then turn your creations into reality with concentrated sessions in design and sewing. In just one week of learning and fun, camp goers create two outfits to walk the runway for cheering family and friends. Of course, nothing says fashion more than the professional hair, makeup, and photo shoot sessions included for all!
Fashion Week Two (also Monday through Friday) is July 20-24 (9am-5:30pm) for the slightly older fashion girl or boy (ages 15-18). Camp goers dig deeper in glamour and craft to focus their designs on the influences of top fashion designers. This season?s Fashion Two explores a most ingenious and iconic designer: Anna Sui. Again, you?ll illustrate, sew and adorn creations to create a portfolio-ready fashion design for the runway. Previous experience is not necessary and registrants can attend either or both weeks!
