Cost: $35 for members and $59 for nonmembers
This workshop will have applications to ALL businesses and organizations, but is most specifically geared toward small businesses...for profit and nonprofit. Research has shown that remote and hybrid work arrangements are on the rise, leaving smaller firms competing against bigger companies for talent. More than 3 out of 4 job seekers and employees (76%) report that a diverse workforce is an important factor when evaluating companies and job offers, according to the career site, Glassdoor.
In this workshop, we will move BEYOND establishing the business and human case for diversity & inclusion, and explore the realistic challenges and considerations of creating an inclusive workplace and embedding equity throughout the organization to create fair and sustainable opportunities for every employee. When done right, DEI initiatives result in systematic changes across an organization's ecosystem, impacting employees, partners, suppliers, and customers.
By the end of this workshop, businesses will be equipped with new frameworks, ideas, tools, and strategies. Learn what to avoid, in order to create a more inclusive workplace, where mental shortcuts that lead to snap judgments based on gender and race are minimized.
