Yale fencing teams finish strong at Sacred Heart Tradition Meet

The Yale men’s and women’s fencing teams concluded their 2025 season at the Sacred Heart Tradition Meet in Fairfield, Connecticut, on Saturday. The women’s team finished the event undefeated, while the men’s team posted a 4-1 record.

Over the first half of the season, both squads showed strong results. The men’s team ended 2025 with a 14-1 overall record. The women’s team recorded a 15-1 mark, with their only loss coming against Cornell on November 9.

In competition at Sacred Heart, the men’s team defeated SHU (19-8), LIU (22-5), NJIT (18-9), and NYU (15-12). Their sole loss was to Princeton by a score of 15-12.

The women’s team secured victories over SHU (26-1), LIU (23-4), Princeton (17-10), NYU (18-9), and Temple (17-10).

Looking ahead, Yale will begin its 2026 schedule at the Dave Micahnik Invitational hosted by Penn on January 17.
