Yale’s Garrett Larsen earns Ivy League Player of the Week honors after standout weekend

After a strong performance at the Andre Dawson Classic in Florida, Garrett Larsen has been named Ivy League Player of the Week, according to an announcement from the conference on Monday.

Larsen, who is from Connecticut, had seven hits in nine at-bats over three games and reached base 10 times out of 12 plate appearances. His weekend included one double, one home run, five runs scored, and two stolen bases. He ended the series with an OPS of 2.055. In addition to his offensive contributions, Larsen played three different defensive positions during the games.

The Yale baseball team is scheduled to face Pepperdine in a three-game series in California.
