The Yale men’s swimming and diving team concluded its final meet of 2025 with a victory over Southern Connecticut State University, winning 206-55 on Thursday evening. The competition featured swimming events at SCSU’s Hutchinson Natatorium and diving at Yale’s Kiphuth Exhibition Pool.
Yale secured first place in all 16 events. Kavin Li achieved two individual wins in the 50-yard freestyle and the 200-yard breaststroke.
In relay events, Lucius Brown, Nareg Minassian, Crash Ackerly, and Manoli Mountantonakis won the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:33.07. Other notable performances included Arshak Hambardzumyan finishing first in the 1000-yard freestyle (9:16.32), Elliot Lee leading the 200-yard freestyle (1:41.60), and Nick Finch winning the 100-yard backstroke (50.07).
Jack Saber claimed victory in the 100-yard breaststroke (59.58), while Mak Nurkic Kacapor finished first in the 200-yard butterfly (1:52.71). In addition to his win in the 50-yard freestyle (21.29), Li also placed first in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:04.24).
Crash Ackerly topped the 100-yard freestyle (46.04), Christian Lee led the 200-yard backstroke (1:51.20), and Deniel Nankov won the 500-yard freestyle (4:43.78).
In diving, Nicholas Chau earned first place in the one-meter event with a score of 307.35, while Jackson Lipscomb secured first on three-meter with a score of 343.00.
Jake Wang finished first in the 100-yard butterfly (48.06), and Manoli Mountantonakis won the 200-yard individual medley (1:55.36). The team of Nurkic Kacapor, Alexander Hazlett, Ackerly, and Hambardzumyan closed out the meet by winning the 400-yard freestyle relay in a time of 3:04.91.
Yale is scheduled to begin its next competition against Penn and Dartmouth on Friday, January 9, and Saturday, January 10, to open its season for 2026.
