The Yale men’s track and field team competed on April 11 at two separate meets, with athletes participating in Texas A&M’s 44 Farms Team Invitational and Bucknell University’s Bison Outdoor Classic.

These competitions are important opportunities for the Bulldogs to test their abilities against strong fields early in the outdoor season.

At the Texas meet, sophomore Orion Browne finished tenth in the triple jump with a mark of 14.72 meters, moving him to sixth place on Yale’s all-time list. First-year Jozef Miesak placed sixteenth in the 400 meters with a time of 48.05 seconds. In other events, first-year Aiden Martinez was twenty-second in the 110-meter hurdles (14.97 seconds), while senior captain Andrew Farr took twenty-fifth place in the 100 meters (10.56 seconds).

Meanwhile, at Bucknell University’s Bison Outdoor Classic in Pennsylvania, sophomore Lucas Cohen secured sixth place in the 5000 meters with a time of 14:11.17 during day one of competition.

The Bulldogs are set to finish their participation at the Bison Outdoor Classic on Sunday.
