First-year kicker Noah Piper has been named to the Freshman All-America Team by FCS Football Central, recognizing his performance during his debut season with Yale Football.

The Freshman All-America Team honors standout first-year players from across the Football Championship Subdivision. This year, 62 players representing 46 programs were selected. Piper is the only freshman from the Ivy League to receive this recognition.

Piper’s season included a near-perfect record on extra points, converting 31 of 32 attempts, and he made 13 out of 15 field goals. In his first collegiate game, he successfully kicked a 50-yard field goal. He also had four games in which he attempted five or more PATs and was successful in all those attempts.

“I am honored to be recognized among so many talented players,” said Piper. “This would not have been possible without my coaches and teammates.”
