The Yale women’s golf team finished tied for 14th place in a field of 16 teams at the Terps Invitational, hosted by the University of Maryland, according to an announcement on April 6.

The tournament featured strong competition, with No. 37 Virginia winning the team title at four-under par. Kentucky, ranked No. 33 nationally, and host Maryland took second and third place respectively. Virginia’s Jaclyn LaHa earned individual medalist honors after finishing five-under par.

For Yale, Mia Sessa led the Bulldogs with a tie for 49th place (76-77-76—229), followed by Lydia Portlock who tied for 53rd (77-76-77—230). Anya Mathur finished tied for 58th (74-79-78—231), Katie Ha placed 77th (77-80-79—236), and Ashley Yen tied for 78th (78-79-80—237).

The event provided valuable experience as the Bulldogs competed against several nationally ranked programs. The results highlight areas where Yale can continue to improve as they prepare for their next major event.

Yale will return to action at the Ivy League Championships from Friday, April 24 through Sunday, April 26. The championship is scheduled to take place at Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield, New Jersey.
