21

(Milford, CT April 11, 2022)  --   Shoppers looking for unique handmade items by local artisan and crafters can find them at the Milford Artisan Market on Mother’s Day weekend Saturday and Sunday, May 7-8, 2022 from 10am to 4pm on the Milford Green at 168-176 Broad Street in downtown Milford, CT.  Admission is free.

“We’re excited to celebrate our local small business artisans at the Market,” says event organizer Alison Kosakowski, owner of Artisan Events by Ally. “It’s a great place to find a range of new or unique products, check out the skilled makers and trades people or just stop by to celebrate Mother’s Day.”

The bi-annual event has grown to eighty unique artisan vendors of handmade items including pottery, jewelry, wood designs, candles, fine art and resin work as well as specialty foods. To celebrate Mother’s Day, the Market will have a special balloon display for whimsical photo opportunities with Mom or someone special. There will also be face painting and airbrush tattooing for kids as well as a Hope Tree to hang messages of support and healing.

The Market will have two music areas featuring live music from The Sawtelles, Bees Deluxe and Professor B and the Army of Love. Street food will be offered from vendors including Sultan Kebab and Colossal Kielbasa along with baked goods and fudge from various artisan vendors.

The event is organized by Artisan Events by Ally. The Milford Artisan Market is a biannual community event that will be held every October and May on the Milford Green to promote local handcrafted wares and artists.
