Rosa DeLauro, a longstanding member of the U.S. Congress representing Connecticut’s 3rd district since 1991, recently expressed her views on social media regarding several critical issues. DeLauro, who has been an advocate for healthcare and social welfare programs, used the platform to reiterate her commitment to protecting legislation that she believes is vital for American citizens.

On March 25, 2025, DeLauro commemorated the anniversary of a significant healthcare milestone by stating: "15 years ago, this week, the Affordable Care Act was signed into law. I will continue to do everything in my power to protect this lifesaving legislation because the lives of thousands of hardworking middle class and vulnerable Americans depend on it!"

In another post made later that day, she addressed proposed cuts to food assistance programs: "Trump and Elon’s SNAP cuts won’t cause 'food insecurity'—they will cause hunger. I say hunger because that’s what it is. These cuts will take food off the tables of kids, seniors, and working-class families all to fund tax breaks for billionaires. We must fight."

DeLauro also criticized former President Trump's team regarding national security concerns: "Wondering how this happened? This is the team picked by President Trump, who stored classified documents in a Mar-a-Lago bathroom. There’s no media conspiracy here—they are careless about national security, & it puts us in danger. Hegseth & Waltz should be fired immediately."
