Cost of college went up for all students at the University of New Haven

Tuition and fees rose 2.9 percent for 2018-19 at the University of New Haven, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Connecticut students paid $39,270 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $1,100 more than the $38,170 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 1,433 students received grants or scholarships totaling $30.8 million and 1,166 students took out student loans totaling more than $14.5 million.

Including all undergraduates (6,867), 4,652 students used grants or scholarships totaling $92.9 million, and 3,616 students took out $24.8 million in federal student loans.
