Rosa DeLauro, a longstanding member of the U.S. Congress representing Connecticut's 3rd district since 1991, has recently expressed her views on several political issues through social media. DeLauro, who succeeded Bruce Morrison in Congress and is a graduate of Marymount College, Tarrytown, voiced her concerns regarding political violence, tax policies under former President Trump, and reproductive rights.

On January 22, 2025, DeLauro commented on what she perceives as an abuse of authority by President Trump. She stated that "This decision sends a clear message to those who would commit political violence on President Trump’s behalf: I’ve got your back. This is a clear-cut abuse of his authority."

Later that day, DeLauro criticized Trump's fiscal policies with a tweet at 16:46 UTC. She claimed that "While Trump is cutting taxes for his greedy billionaire buddies, his day one agenda included raising the prices on prescription drugs for Americans on Medicare & Medicaid. He's made it clear who he's fighting for—not you."

In another post at 20:18 UTC the same day, DeLauro addressed the issue of reproductive rights following changes to Roe v Wade by the Supreme Court in 2022. She remarked that "52 years ago, the Supreme Court upheld a woman’s right to choose with Roe v Wade. In 2022, following orders from Trump, the activist conservative justices overturned it. No woman should be limited by her geography– reproductive healthcare must be available in all states."
