Rosa DeLauro, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Connecticut's 3rd district since 1991, recently expressed her concerns and observations on various issues through social media. Her posts reflect her engagement with both national and local matters.

On January 30, 2025, DeLauro addressed an aviation incident involving a collision between an American Airlines plane and a military helicopter. She stated, "I am shocked by the news of a crash involving an American Airlines plane and a military helicopter. I am praying for the passengers and crew aboard both aircraft. I am closely monitoring the situation as we learn more."

Later that day, she visited Amity Regional High School in a Title I district. During her visit, she noted that federal funding for technology and teacher pay was frozen by President Trump. She pledged to support schools like Amity, saying, "This week, I visited Amity Regional High School—a school in a Title I district. As the students showed me their projects, Trump froze federal funding for their tech & teachers pay. I'll fight to ensure schools like Amity get the resources they need to help students thrive."

In another post from the same day, DeLauro commented on President Trump's response to families affected by a tragic event referred to as the Potomac crash. She criticized his approach by stating, "Families devastated by the loss of loved ones from the Potomac crash deserve compassion & leadership. Instead, President Trump blames 'DEI'. Clearly, he wants to distract Americans from the fact that he has made it harder for safety officials to keep us safe."
