On February 3, 2025, DeLauro expressed concern over the influence of wealthy individuals on public systems. She stated, "Trump has given an unelected billionaire access to the payment system millions of Americans rely on for their Social Security payments, tax refunds, & more. This is blatant corruption. Americans want a government that works for working people, not self-serving billionaires."

Later that day, DeLauro highlighted her commitment to addressing gun violence by thanking participants in a conversation aimed at tackling this issue. She remarked, "Thank you for joining me on such an important conversation. Conversations like this will help us move towards ending the gun violence epidemic."

On February 4, 2025, DeLauro criticized RFK Jr's approach to healthcare reform. She argued that his ideas could lead to increased corporate influence in medicine. Her tweet read: "RFK Jr poses a clear and present danger to American health. When he talks about pivoting to holistic and preventative medicine, he is really talking about throwing the door wide open for greedy corporations. The Senate should reject his nomination."
