Rosa DeLauro addresses federal funding concerns amid Trump's policy challenges

Rosa DeLauro, a U.S. Congress member representing Connecticut's 3rd district since 1991, recently took to social media to address issues concerning federal funding and the Trump Administration's policies. DeLauro, who has been an influential figure in her role as the top Democrat on the Appropriations Committee, shared several updates and announcements through her Twitter account.

On February 10, 2025, DeLauro celebrated funding for the CT Early Head Start program in New Haven. However, she expressed concern over the Trump Administration's actions, stating that "the Trump Administration is putting these legally awarded funds in jeopardy." She vowed to "fight against this illegal chaotic power grab" "Last week, I celebrated funding for the CT Early Head Start program in New Haven."

Later that day, DeLauro announced a tele-town hall scheduled for the following day alongside Attorney General William Tong and Connecticut Comptroller. The event aimed to address concerns regarding what she described as an "illegal Trump federal funding freeze."
